Dr. Mikao Usui, a Tendai Buddhist of Japan discovered Reiki in1922.  He is believed to have discovered this method after spending 21 days on Mount Kurama. One of the many forms of the popular Reiki healing system is Anuragraha Reiki.

Dr. Mikao Usui declared to have received some supernatural revelation and was handed down the knowledge and spiritual power of healing after going through meditation, fasting and prayer during the 21 day retreat.

Reiki is rather simple and easy to use. Everybody can utilize the technique to attain spiritual healing for self and those around them. Reiki is taught in three parts also known as degrees or levels of Reiki. The first degree basically covers the fundamental theories and procedures for using Reiki energy

The Reiki master gives  four ‘attunements’ to the students after which this energy starts flowing through a channel in the body.  The first degree of training also pertains to the learning of particular hand placements on the body that permits the Reiki energy to heal people.

Reiki symbols are used in the second degree Reiki training and how they can be used to increase healing. Students are trained to provide distant healing in which they are trained to heal other without being physically present at the location. The student becomes Reiki master after learning the third degree of Reiki. As a Reiki mater, a person may to teach other but he cannot attune them into Reiki.

Various forms of Reiki exist and each one has a different way of spiritual healing. The mystical healing art that originated in India, Anugraha Reiki, is one of them. The meaning of word ‘Anugraha’ is Grace which happens to be one of the five functions of the Divine that eventually leads to Liberation or Moksha. On another level, the word Anugraha can also relate to Mercy and can also be referred to as the Power of Revelation.

The first degree of Anugraha Reiki focuses on self healing, self consciousness, replenishment and perfecting relations, just like the Japanese form of Reiki. An attunement or Diksha is given by the Reiki Grandmaster to activate the some rarely used parts of the brain. An easy yet spiritually advanced technique is taught to facilitate altering a person’s consciousness and as a result of which deep level of awareness is developed within 30 days.

The second degree of the Anugraha Reiki concentrates on healing others. During this level, an advanced form of meditation and sacred sounds are taught that invoke positive consciousness. Along with the techniques, a mantra to invoke to the presence is also taught for doing distant as well as personal healing.

Utilizing occult Reiki symbols for altering time and space, bridging the worlds of life and death, astral projection, easing the transition process and meditation are taught during the third degree initiation of Anugraha Reiki. Moreover, two additional master symbols are also revealed.

For succeeding and entering the third level, the student should be relatively clear about his or her own physical or psychological suffering.
